Sale is located 220km from Melbourne CBD and is an easy drive largely along freeways and major highways. For non-paddlers there is plenty to do, perhaps a trip on the Rubeena, an historic Pittwater style ferry built in 1911 which is now used to take people on heritage tours from the Port of Sale, enjoying Alan’s guided tour of the history and flora and fauna of the river. BYO food and drinks can be enjoyed on the Rubeena as it has a liquor licence. Alternatively, there are a variety of walks, fishing, cycling, nice cafes, art gallery, botanical gardens or perhaps a drive to the famous 90-mile beach!
Take your pick, there is plenty to see and do in the region.
